چکیده
The accidental release of diesel and other hydrocarbon to the environment lead pollution environment. search for an environmentally friendly technique remediation such polluted is not be overemphasis. Microorganisms are used in bioremediation environments. Hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium isolated from exploration site soil Kukawa North-eastern Nigeria, was studied its biodegradation potential diesel. Culture base techniques using nutrient agar mineral salt medium supplemented with 1% used. isolate identified as Enterobacter sp. strain IAA-01. Identification carried out 16S rRNA sequencing molecular phylogeny analysis Phylip software. Gravimetric conducted measure percentage 21 days, confirmed Gas chromatography (GC) where degraded 78% after days total degradation revealed GC days. results prevailed ability IAA-01 effectively biodegrade oil. Key words: sp., biodegradation, gas chromatography, pollution.

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons by Aerobic Mixed Bacterial Culture Isolated from Hydrocarbon Polluted Soils
In this study, the degradation potential of five polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by aerobic mixed bacterial cultures was investigated. Microorganisms were isolated from hydrocarbon contaminated soils of Shadegan wetland located in southwest of Iran. The degradation experiments were conducted in liquid cultures. PAH or PAHs concentration was 100 mg/L at the beginning of degradation e...
متن کاملBiodegradation of Polychlorinated Biphenyls by and Isolated from Contaminated Soil
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) cause many significant ecological problems because of their low degradability, high harmfulness, and solid bioaccumulation. Two bacterial strains were isolated from soil that had been polluted with electrical transformer liquid for more than 40 years. The isolates were distinguished as Lysinibacillus macrolides DSM54Tand Bacillus firmus NBRC1530...
متن کاملEnhanced hydrocarbon biodegradation by a newly isolated Bacillus subtilis strain.
The relation between hydrocarbon degradation and biosurfactant (rhamnolipid) production by a new Bacillus subtilis 22BN strain was investigated. The strain was isolated for its capacity to utilize n-hexadecane and naphthalene and at the same time to produce surface-active compound at high concentrations (1.5 - 2.0 g l(-1)). Biosurfactant production was detected by surface tension lowering and e...

متن کاملAnaerobic biodegradation of benzo(a)pyrene by a novel Cellulosimicrobium cellulans CWS2 isolated from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-contaminated soil.
Cellulosimicrobium cellulans CWS2, a novel strain capable of utilizing benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) as the sole carbon and energy source under nitrate-reducing conditions, was isolated from PAH-contaminated soil. Temperature and pH significantly affected BaP biodegradation, and the strain exhibited enhanced biodegradation ability at temperatures above 30°C and between pH 7 and 10. The highest BaP remov...
